Blanco Custom
Home Builders
Custom homes on Blanco County ranch land,
built properly where nobody is checking.

Building in Blanco, Texas
Blanco is the furthest out we build, and we are straight with people about that. It is a drive from our office at Canyon Lake, so we take on a limited number of projects in Blanco County at a time. What you get in exchange is a builder who is actually on site rather than one running six jobs across four counties.
Summit Oak Builders has been building custom homes across the Texas Hill Country for more than 20 years. We take on a limited number of homes at a time, which is the only honest way to give an owner the access and attention a custom build actually requires. You will know your builder by name.
Building out here is different from building in a city, and not in the way most people assume. There is less paperwork, not more. That sounds like freedom until you realize what it actually means: on most Blanco County acreage, nobody is inspecting the work but us.
What building in Blanco actually involves
Blanco County is rural, and Texas counties have limited authority to regulate residential construction outside city limits. That changes the job in ways worth understanding before you hire anyone.
Where we build around Blanco
We build in Blanco and throughout the surrounding Blanco County ranch country, including the tracts along US 281, Ranch Road 32 and the river corridor.
We also build in Wimberley, San Marcos, Canyon Lake, Spring Branch, Bulverde and Seguin. See all of our communities.
About Blanco
Blanco is a small town on the Blanco River with a limestone courthouse on the square and a state park at the edge of it. It has stayed small on purpose. The land around it is ranch country — live oak, cedar, long grass and longer views — and the tracts are measured in acres rather than lots.
Blanco ISD serves the town. Austin and San Antonio are each about an hour and a quarter away, which is far enough that nobody commutes casually and close enough that you are not cut off. Ranch Road 32, the Devil’s Backbone, runs east toward Wimberley and is one of the better drives in Texas.
People who build here are usually buying the quiet deliberately. The houses that suit this country are the ones that sit low, take the weather, and do not try to look like they came from somewhere else.
