Building in River Chase

River Chase is a neighborhood between New Braunfels and Canyon Lake, and one we’ve built in several times. Lots run about one to four acres, many of them wooded and sloping, some with long views across Comal County. Residents share a private park on the Guadalupe River and a hilltop clubhouse.

We know the ground here and the POA’s review process. The trees, the slope and the rock vary from one lot to the next, and they shape where a house can sit and what it costs to build. We plan for all of it from the first lot walk.

If you own a lot in River Chase, or you’re choosing between lots, talk to us before you commit. We’ll walk it with you and tell you what it will take to build there.

What building in River Chase actually involves

River Chase lots are wooded, often sloping, and close to a river. Each of these shapes a build.

Common questions about building in River Chase

Yes. We’ve built several custom homes in River Chase and know the POA’s review process and the ground well.
Yes. The POA reviews plans before construction starts. We prepare the submittal and design to the guidelines from the start, so the review doesn’t hold up your schedule.
Some lots near the Guadalupe include floodplain and many don’t. We check the flood maps for your specific lot before design starts.
Yes. Many River Chase lots are both. We engineer the foundation for the slope, plan the driveway and drainage, and keep tree clearing to what the build actually needs.
Yes, and we recommend it. Slope, rock, trees and septic placement vary from lot to lot and can change what it costs to build. A walk-through before you close can save you from a surprise.
